Authorities in Belize are currently responding to a developing aviation emergency following the reported hijacking of a Tropic Air passenger aircraft. The plane, which departed from Corozal Municipal Airport earlier today, was carrying a number of U.S. nationals and is now being tracked as it circles above Belize City Municipal Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to initial reports, the aircraft remains airborne, and law enforcement officials are closely monitoring its movements. Preparations are underway at both Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport and Belize City Municipal Airport in anticipation of a potential landing. Emergency personnel have been placed on standby at multiple locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
