General Elections

As of 12:20 p.m. on March 12, 2025, voter turnout in Belize’s general elections reached 28.38%, with 55,912 ballots cast. Female voters accounted for 51.29% of the ballots, while male voters represented 48.71%.

By midday, the divisions with the highest voter engagement were:

  • Albert: 43.88%
  • Queen’s Square: 42.32%
  • Lake Independence: 40.12%
  • Mesopotamia: 39.41%
  • Freetown: 37.29%
  • Collet: 37.05%
  • Toledo West: 36.75%
  • Cayo North: 32.97%

In contrast, the divisions with the lowest turnout were:

  • Stann Creek West: 17.15%
  • Dangriga: 17.70%

These figures are expected to rise as the day progresses, with polling stations remaining open until 6:00 p.m.
